I work in business and have a degree in Organizational Leadership. My job requires me to have strong analytical and communication skills. My husband and I have been married for 27 years; he served in the US Navy before we moved to Kansas and currently works in aviation. I love spending time with my family, reading, traveling & listening to a wide variety of music. I am a proud mom - one child at Goddard High School and one at Challenger Intermediate. We have lived in the Goddard School District for over 20 years. In that time, I’ve had the pleasure of watching our friends and neighbors receive a top-notch education, providing them the opportunity to pursue their dreams. As a parent, I have volunteered through PTO and Booster organizations. I’ve seen first-hand the excitement in a students face when they learn something new, the shy smile of a kid whose teacher can bring them out of their shell, and how committed the teachers and staff are to ensuring that all students in our district have an engaging educational experience. I want to give back to the district, supporting teachers and students.
  • My top priority as a board member is to support students and teachers.
  • High-quality teachers, staff, and administrators are the key to educating every student for life long success.
  • There are many challenges facing education. I think the greatest challenges are the ones we can’t see. The Board needs to remain close to changing trends, supporting teachers and students as we face the ever-changing economical and political climate together.
I am committed to ensuring that all students have access to a quality education, while ensuring that USD 265 is an employer of choice offering competitive compensation and benefits packages.
As a member of the board, I would like to continue the legacy of providing a top-notch education for our students, while being an employer of choice for our amazing teachers, staff & administrators.
Artificial intelligence is an interesting current topic. Students have been immersed with AI from a young age (predictive text, Chat GPT, photo editing, etc) we need to find a way for students to use AI responsibly.

For teachers - we need to continue to stay current on changing trends within AI and provide tools that can help identify AI generated responses quickly and efficiently.
