I am a wife, mother, and child advocate. My top priorities are defending life, child welfare transformation, and healthcare, specifically access to vital mental health services. As someone who has professionally and personally worked for over a decade on behalf of children, I have an alertness and determination to find and initiate solutions at the state level to improve outcomes for the children and families of Ohio. Serving people, advocating for children, and working for a more equitable and inclusive society are things I have experience in. Compassion, courage, and commitment are values I bring to the table and I am ready to represent the great people of Ohio's 6th district in Columbus.
  • I am prolife and believe that every life has value and is deserving of protection.
  • I will work to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable children of Ohio in our child welfare system.
  • I am passionate about health, and believe we must provide access and affordability to vital mental health services to impact our addiction and suicide rates in Ohio.
Child welfare. As someone who has personally fostered 25 children and adopted 5 out of the system, I know first hand how much work we have to do in Ohio. All children deserve protection and permanency, regardless of which county they are born in. I am also passionate about infant mortality, Ohio ranking 45th in the nation is unacceptable to me.
Jesus. The only perfect example of a servant and leader. I strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus in all I do.
I hope my legacy is that I did improve outcomes for the children of Ohio, that I directly impacted the lives of the most vulnerable, and helped to save lives.
Yes and no. Previous experience can certainly be helpful, but I believe anyone can learn how to legislate. Real life experiences are critical for understanding and connecting with voters. Many times, the things we go through in life show us what is most important and can be the driving force for wanting to make an impact in government.
Health and safety. If we do not urgently address the problems our most vulnerable children face, like poverty, violence, and racism, we will not have a majority of society able to work and thrive.
Yes, absolutely. Team work is the only way to get things accomplished. We need to focus on the commonalities we share and find solutions to the things we all value, like a safe community and thriving economy regardless of our differences.
