Jackson Hole, Wyoming: James Radda was appointed to the 9th Circuit Court on August 6, 2010. Gov. Freudenthal chose him to replace Timothy C. Day, who took the seat of retired Judge Nancy J. Guthrie earlier this year. The Governor also interviewed two other candidates: deputy county attorney Melissa Owens and 9th Circuit Judge Curt A. Haws.

Radda, who is 58, has worked as a Teton County deputy attorney since 1990. Fellow Teton County Attorney Steve Weichman stated, "I’ll be sad to lose him, but he’ll be a fine judge. I don’t know anybody with a more stable demeanor than Jim Radda.” Regarding his own career, Radda claimed, "All I ever try to do is come to work and do the very best job I can on that day."[1]
