Ralph Kunkel is the Area 6 representative on the Birdville Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. Kunkel sought another term in the general election that was scheduled to be held on May 7, 2016. The election was canceled, however, and Kunkel won another term automatically.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the Birdville Independent School District Board of Trustees were supposed to be up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. The election was canceled, however, due to lack of opposition. Incumbent Ralph Kunkel automatically won re-election to Place 6, and Taylor Anderson won election to the open Place 7 seat after incumbent Cary Hancock chose not to file for re-election. There was no primary.[2][1]
