Ralph Seekins
Ralph Seekins was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 3 (C) of the Alaska State Senate. He previously served in the Alaska State Senate representing District D from 2003 to 2007.
Career
Ralph Seekins studied biology and chemistry at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He worked as a mechanic and auto sales associate in Washington before relocating to Alaska in 1974 to work as the sales manager for Jim Thompson Ford Sales in Fairbanks, Alaska. Seekins purchased the dealership, which became Seekins Ford Lincoln, in 1977. He continues to serve as president of the company.[1]
Seekins was elected to the Alaska State Senate representing District D in 2002 and assumed office in 2003. During his four-year term, Seekins served as chair of the judiciary committee, co-chair of the safety code joint task force committee, and vice chair of the labor and commerce committee. He campaigned for Alaska State Senate District C in 2012, but lost in the Republican primary.[2][3]

Seekins ran in the 2012 election for Alaska State Senate District 3 (C). He was defeated by Click Bishop in the Republican primary on August 28, 2012.[4][5]

Republican Party of Alaska
Ralph Seekins was elected as the Republican Party of Alaska's national committeeman to the Republican National Committee in 2008. He was re-elected to the position in 2012.[6]

As a national committeeman, Ralph Seekins is an automatic Republican National Convention delegate and attended the Republican National Convention in July 2016. He is a member of the committee on arrangements for the 2016 Republican National Convention.[7]
