Biography

Ramey Johnson was born in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State College in 1989 and a graduate degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1992. Her career experience includes working as a nurse in hospice, long-term care facilities, Medicaid supervisory visits, coronary intensive care, home care, worker’s comp and discharge planning, and home care coordination. She also served as the calendar clerk for the State House of Representatives. She has been affiliated with Jefferson County Women’s Republic Club.[1]

I have lived most of my life in Lakewood. Graduate, Harvard Kennedy Business School for State and Local Government, graduate Western Legislative Academy, graduate American Legislative Exchange Council-Healthcare Task Force, graduate Council of State Government Western Legislative Academy, Chair Lakewood Legislative Committee-5 years, chair Jefferson County Ad Hoc Committee Marijuana, past Chair State Medical Services Advisory Board, past member State Board Licensed Professional Counselors,, nominee Nightingale Excellence in Human Caring Award, nominee Human Caring Award-Lutheran Medical Center, Distinguished Alumni Service Award- University of Colorado Health Science Center School- Nursing. For me, service to others is my calling. I am grateful I have had so many meaningful opportunities.

Ongoing, open and honest communication regardless of party affiliation
Reducing taxation, addressing inflation, immigration, crime and energy
Not only beneficial, but imperative to work together. Good ideas come from both sides of the aisle.
Even though the Governor has the sole authority to grant a state of emergency, the legislature should be notified prior to this decision and allowed input.
Addressing high taxation, & inflation, followed by returning qualified immunity for cops and restoring law enforcement’s ability to call and communicate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Last, returning illegal drug offenses to a felony with the caveat that the judge first look at a sentence of mandated inpatient rehabilitation for substance abuse before considering jail.
