Randall Hoffbeck
Randall Hoffbeck is a former commissioner of the Alaska Department of Revenue. He was appointed to the position on December 16, 2014, by Governor Bill Walker (I). He served until his resignation on August 17, 2017.[1][2]
Biography
Hoffbeck worked in tax administration and appraisal for three decades, including 20 years of service in local and state government. His government service included stints as a petroleum property assessor for the state from 2001 to 2006 and as the chief financial officer of North Slope Borough from 2006 to 2011. In 2012, Hoffbeck retired from public service to earn a Master of Divinity degree and begin a full-time career in ministry for the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He returned to public service when Governor Bill Walker (I) appointed him to serve as the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Revenue on December 16, 2014.[1][2]
