I’ve served our region for nearly two decades as a school board member, city councilmember, and three-time Mayor of Big Bear Lake. I’ve worked on the front lines of public service where state decisions meet real people’s lives, from classrooms to public safety to local infrastructure. I’m also a small business owner who has worked with over 140 California school districts. I’m running for Assembly to bring practical, accountable leadership to a region that’s too often overlooked, and to make sure working families in our region have a real voice in Sacramento.
  • Putting the People Back in Charge: Too many decisions that affect our communities are made far away by people who don’t understand our region. I believe government should work with communities, not around them. I’ll focus on real engagement through town halls, local advisory groups, and direct accountability so that working families have a real say in housing, infrastructure, and economic decisions that shape their lives.
  • Strong Public Schools Mean Real Opportunity: Every student deserves a fair shot, but too many schools in our region are under-resourced. As a former school board member, I’ve seen what works. We need to invest in smaller class sizes, more counselors and support staff, and stronger career pathways tied to local industries. Education should connect directly to opportunity, whether that’s college, skilled trades, or careers in healthcare, energy, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Healthcare You Can Actually Access: In too many parts of our district, getting basic healthcare means long drives and long waits. That’s not acceptable. I’ll work to expand local clinics, strengthen rural provider networks, and invest in telehealth backed by reliable broadband. Healthcare should be available close to home, including mental health, maternal care, and emergency services. Access shouldn’t depend on your zip code.
I’m focused on making sure working families can actually afford to live in the communities they call home. That means tackling housing, healthcare, and economic opportunity together. I’m also deeply committed to protecting our natural environment, expanding access to the outdoors, and ensuring clean energy creates real local jobs. I’ve worked on these issues locally and regionally, and I’ll bring that same practical, results-driven approach to Sacramento.
I am proud to have earned a broad and growing coalition of support, including the California Democratic Party, California Teachers Association, California Young Democrats, Communication Workers of America, and San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Local 935.

I have also been endorsed by leaders including State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Superintendent Tony Thurmond, Senator Tom Umberg, Assemblymembers Josh Lowenthal, Juan Carrillo, John Harabedian, Nick Schultz, James Ramos, Robert Garcia, Corey Jackson, and Congresswoman Norma Torres.

But I am most proud of the numerous mayors, council members, and board members from across our region who know me and my work firsthand. A full list of my endorsements can be found on my campaign website.
