Randolph Beales is a judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals. He assumed office on April 16, 2006. His current term ends on April 16, 2030.
Beales was elected to the court by the Virginia General Assembly on March 10, 2006. He was re-elected in 2014 and 2022.[1][2][3][4][5]
Education
Beales received his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1986.[6]
Career
Beales began his career as a lawyer specializing in estate planning and administration. He worked in the Reagan and Bush (Sr.) administrations and later the administration of Virginia Governor George Allen. Beales then served as the chief deputy attorney general until June 4, 2001, when the Virginia attorney general resigned and Beales automatically took his place.[6]
