Randolph Vance
Randolph Vance was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Kentucky.

Elections
2012
Vance was defeated by Republican Andy Barr.[2] Vance ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Kentucky's 6th District as an Independent candidate.[3] Incumbent Ben Chandler ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. Andy Barr faced Patrick J. Kelly II, and Curtis Kenimer in the Republican primary. Vance ran as an Independent candidate in the general election. There are no Independent party primaries. Candidates wishing to run were initially required to file by the signature filing deadline of January 31, 2012. However because the legislature was unable to complete new redistricting maps on time, the deadline was pushed back one week.[4] The new deadline was February 7.[5] The primary elections were held on May 22, 2012.
