Castellani ran in the 2012 election for Pennsylvania House District 115. Castellani was defeated by Frank Farina in the Democratic primary on April 24. Theresa Kane ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Democrat Edward Staback did not seek re-election.[2]
