Randy Hunt
Randy Hunt (Republican Party) was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 5th Barnstable District. Hunt assumed office in 2011. Hunt left office on January 6, 2021.
Hunt (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 5th Barnstable District. Hunt won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Hunt was first elected to the chamber in 2010.
Biography
Hunt earned his B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas El Paso. His professional experience includes working as a CPA at his own practice in Cape Cod, and at Peat Marwick (now KPMG LLP), where he also served as senior manager in the audit practice; and as CFO for Aerovox, a publicly traded optical sensor manufacturer in Juarez, Mexico.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Matthew Terry was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Randy Hunt was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hunt defeated Terry in the general election.[3]

Hunt won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Fifth Barnstable District. Hunt was unopposed in the September 6 Republican primary and defeated R. Patrick Ellis (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
2010
Hunt won election to the Fifth Barnstable seat in 2010. He faced Lance Lambros (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[6]
Hunt had no primary opposition.
