Harry R. Ramey, Jr. (Republican Party) was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 55. Ramey assumed office on July 29, 2005. Ramey left office in 2013.
Ramey (Republican Party) ran for election to the Illinois House of Representatives to represent District 45. Ramey lost in the Republican primary on March 17, 2020.
Biography
Ramey's (born March 17, 1962) professional experience includes working as the Supervisor in Wayne Township after being elected to the position in 2017. His other professional experience also includes worked as an Outreach Representative for the Illinois Secretary of State from 1992-2005, Kitchen Manager at Cody Coyote's Restaurant, Chef at Kathleen's Restaurant, and Manager for Ground Round Restaurants. He served as a Committeeman with the Wayne Township Republican Organization, serving as Chairman from 2004-2006, and a Trustee from 1999-2006. He is a member of the Du Cap Board, Masons, Medinah Shrine, Scottish Rite, 3rd Degree Master Mason, and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.[1]

Ramey ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 23. Ramey lost to incumbent Carole Pankau in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012.[2][3]
Ramey was targeted for defeat by Family-Pac.[4]
2010
Ramey won re-election to the 55th District seat against Democrat Gregory C. Brownfield.[5] He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[6]
