I am retired USAF/MS ANG. Small business owner. Prior Certified Volunteer Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, and Police Officer. I have served as Alderman and Mayor in the Town of Decatur. I have served in the Mississippi House since 2012.
  • I am a large supporter of infrastructure improvements.
  • I support our Military, Law Enforcement, EMS, and other First Responders.
  • I support our Educational System and feel we need to continuously work to improve
I am a pro-life and pro-second amendment person. I believe in minimal government and free enterprise.
I have many past bosses and friends I looked up to, and continue to admire to this day.
I am a caring person. I am dedicated to whatever job I take on.
The person elected to any office should hold a passion for the job and do the best he/she can.
I hope to leave the my District and State in better shape than it was when I was elected.
Mississippi Air National Guard - 25 years
My father passed away when I was 19. Growing up and facing the challenges of life without him has been my biggest struggle.
I think the House is more in touch with the Citizens, due to the House Districts being smaller than the Senate Districts.
I think it is very helpful to Legislators to have a background in local government. Not that it should be a requirement, but it is beneficial.
There has to be good communication and negotiations. But ultimately, they should all have the same goals in mind.
Absolutely. Establishing relationships and trust in each other as Legislators allows us to promote important Bills and get them passed in both Chambers.
Due to my background in the Military, Volunteer Fire Fighter, Police Officer, and Mayor, I feel the committees assigned to me are areas that I am familiar with, and I am able to contribute better to the Legislative process.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Mississippi

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
