He ran for election to the Bee County Court in 2014.[2]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 44.7 percent of the vote. He competed against David Silva. [2][3]

Casarez was re-elected to the Bee County Justice of the Peace Court after running unopposed.[4]
