Primary: He was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, competing against Roberto J. Villareal and Imelda Barrera-Arevalo.[3][4]

2010

Ramirez won the Democratic primary in the runoff election. He was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election.[2]
