Raul Montes, Jr. was a 2015 candidate for Ward 22 of the Chicago, Illinois City Council.
In 2012, Montes was a Democratic candidate for District 12 of the Illinois State Senate.

The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[1] In the general election for Ward 22, incumbent Ricardo Muñoz defeated Raul Montes, Jr., Neftalie Gonzalez and Robert Martinez. Alex Velazquez was removed from the ballot in December 2014.[2][3]

Montes ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 12. Montes lost against incumbent Steven Landek in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[4][5] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]
