Judge Dayton earned his B.S. with high honors from Montana State University in 1978 and his J.D. with honors from the University of Montana Law School in 1982. [2]

Career

Before his election to the 3rd Judicial District in 2007, Dayton was engaged in private practice in Anaconda, Montana.[2]

2012 election

Dayton was retained with 82.63% of the vote on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
