|I represent the public on the California Water Monitoring Council, a state committee that integrates and coordinates water quality and ecosystem monitoring, assessment, and reporting. I am also a member of the UCI PFAS Health Study Citizens Advisory Panel. This study is investigating how drinking water that contains PFAS (a non-stick chemical coating) may affect the health of Orange County residents. I am running for Orange County Water District Director because Garden Grove needs an active and informed voice for clean water and lower rates. As Director I will focus on water conservation and proven, cost-effective local water supply strategies to insure a sustainable water supply for Garden Grove. I will also make communication with you a priority, as listening to your concerns and ideas will allow me to better represent you. See more at my website www.rayforwater.com
- It is time for a change in water management inn Orange County
- Clean Water is a human right and I will ensure clean water for all.
- Keeping water costs as low as possible is a priority for me
My public service record includes both government and community service activities. I currently serve as the public member of the California Water Monitoring Council which has the mandate to develop specific recommendations to improve the coordination and cost-effectiveness of water quality and ecosystem monitoring and assessment, enhance the integration of monitoring data across departments and agencies, and increase public accessibility to monitoring data and assessment information. I also serve on the Santa Ana River Conservancy Advisory Board which is tasked with offering advice, expertise, support, or service to the Santa Ana River Conservancy.
