Ray Miller (Ohio)
I. Ray Miller (b. April 6, 1949) was a Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate. Miller was in the Franklin County Democratic Party Chairman's Club. He served in the Ohio State House of Representatives from 1981 to 1993 and again from 1998 to 2002. He joined the Ohio State Senate in 2002 and served in that position until 2011. Prior to leaving office, he served as the Senate Minority Whip, representing the 15th District.
Miller was Assistant Director of Legislation for AFSCME/Ohio Council 8 from 1976 to 1978. He worked as Deputy Special Assistant for The White House from 1979 to 1980. He then worked as Vice President for Columbus State Community College from 1975 to 1978, 1981 to 1986, and 1987 to 1993. He was President of the National Urban Policy Institute from 1997 to 1998. He has worked as President/CEO of Professional Employment Services of America since 1998.
Miller earned his B.A. in political science from The Ohio State University in 1971. He then received his MPA in 1973.
