Ray Murray is the former at-large representative on the Lakota Local Schools school board in Ohio. First elected in 2009, Murray lost a re-election campaign in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Murray earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from Huron College. He worked as a police officer and drug enforcement agent in Chicago prior to retirement. Murray worked with the District Parent Council prior to joining the board. He has three children who have attended district schools.[1]

Three of five seats on the Lakota Local Schools Board of Education in Ohio were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Two incumbents filed for re-election. Incumbent Todd Parnell won re-election to his seat, and newcomers Bradley Lovell and Kelley Casper won the remaining two at-large seats. Incumbent Ray Murray, challenger Jason Baldwin, and former candidate Ernest Gause were defeated.[2][3]
