Woods was a 2014 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Oklahoma.[1] He was defeated by incumbent Jim Inhofe (R) in the general election.[2]

Ray Woods was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and lives in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma.[3]
