Ray Worthen
Ray L. Worthen was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 53 of the Utah House of Representatives.[1]
Biography
Worthen served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.[2]
After working as a carpenter from 1972 to 1980, Worthen entered college and earned his B.S. in engineering in 1985 from the University of Utah. He later earned his M.S. in physics in 1997 from the University of Utah.[2]
Professionally, Worthen worked as an engineer for both the private sector and the government for 23 years until he retired in 2010.[2]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Utah House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Ray Worthen was unopposed in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Melvin Brown defeated Blaine Hone and John B. Zimmerman in the Republican convention. Brown defeated Worthen in the general election.[1]
