Raymond Finch was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the District of the Virgin Islands. He joined the court in 1994 after an appointment from President Bill Clinton. Finch served as the chief judge from 1998 to 2005.[1] Finch took senior status in 2011 when Wilma Lewis was confirmed to replace him.

He left the court on February 23, 2023, upon his death.[2][3]

Education

Finch earned both his B.A. and LL.B. from Howard University in 1962 and 1965.[1]

Raymond Finch was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of the Virgin Islands by President Bill Clinton in 1994.[1] He was reappointed to the court by President George W. Bush[4]

Finch was the chief judge of the court from 1998 to 2005.[1] He left the court on February 23, 2023, upon his death.[2][3]
