Raymond Funk
Raymond Funk was a district court judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska.[1] Funk was appointed on April 16, 1998 by Governor Tony Knowles.[2] He retired in 2012 after the expiration of his term.[3]
Education
Judge Funk attended the University of Notre Dame for his Bachelor of Arts in 1974 and earned his Masters at the University of Chicago in 1975. He graduated from the University of California with a J.D. in 1979.[4]

- 1998-2012: He served as judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks
- 1989-1998: He worked as an assistant attorney general in Fairbanks.
- 1987-1989: He worked as a Probate Master for the Alaska Superior Court in Fairbanks.
- 1981-1987: He worked in criminal defense as an assistant public defender for the Alaska Public Defender Agency.
- 1978-1979: He drafted legislation on guardianship and wrote appellate briefs for the Alaska Public Defender Agency.
- 1978: He did legal research and writing for the Alaska Public Defender Agency in Fairbanks.
- 1978: He did legal research and writing for the Alaska Supreme Court.
- 1977-1978: He wrote appellate briefs for the California Public Defender agency.
- 1977: He did legal research and administrative hearings for the DNA-Navaho Legal Services.
- 1976-1977: He worked for California Indian Legal Services doing legal research and writing.[4]
