Raymond Hicks was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 2 of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
Elections
2011
Hicks briefly ran in the 2011 election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 2. He was to face incumbent Roy Burrell (D) in the primary election on October 22, 2011, but was removed from the ballot after a judge ruled that he did not meet residency requirements.
Candidacy challenged
Burrell's campaign manager Rudolph Morton filed a challenge to Hicks' candidacy in early September, stating he did not meet the residency requirement of one year.[1] On September 21, Judge Leon Emanuel ruled that Hicks did not meet the requirements, effectively removing him from the ballot.[2]
