Raymond Biederman was a 2015 Democratic candidate for District 4 of the Indianapolis, Indiana City Council. Raymond Jason Biederman lost the general election on November 3, 2015.

Biederman received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and a minor in math from Butler University in 2006. He graduated from Indiana University -Robert H. McKinney School of Law with his J.D. in 2009. Biederman is a founding partner of Mattingly Burke Cohen & Biederman LLP, where he focuses on the legal aspects of electronic data. He was previously an attorney with Barnes & Thornburg LLP from 2011 to 2014. He is also the chief operating officer of Proteus Discovery Group, LLC, which helps companies and organizations manage electronic data.[1][2]

The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[3] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[4]

In the Republican primary election for District 4, Michael J. McQuillen ran unopposed. In the Democratic primary, Raymond Jason Biederman also ran unopposed. McQuillen defeated Biederman in the general election.[5] Incumbent Christine Scales (R) ran for election to the District 3 seat.[6]
