I am a native of southwest Missouri and graduated from Glendale High School, Drury University, and University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law. I am an attorney with a solo practice based in Springfield with a focus in employment law. I mainly represent plaintiffs in cases involving workplace discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims. I believe that eleted officials should be accountable to the people they represent and work to benefit all of their voters, rather than special interests and wealthy donors.
  • All Missourians should have access to quality healthcare, regardless of income level.
  • All Missourians should be able to earn a living wage and be protected against discrimination and retaliation in the workplace.
  • Our children should have access to quality education regardless of where they live or their parents' income.
I am most passionate about protecting the rights and protections of workers. The people of this state support strong unions, good wages, and protections against discrimination. The Republican party, meanwhile, has worked to strip these very rights away from workers. I support expanding access to Medicaid, which expand access to healthcare all over the state. I support a strong and well-funded public education system, with good pay and benefits for teachers.
Honesty, transparency and openness. An elected official should be able to answer questions and explain exactly why he or she voted on any particular issue.
Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. I've always enjoyed the whimsical and absurdist nature of the story.
The governor and legislature should work together to pass legislation that is in the interests of all of the people.
I favor a plan that keeps districts geographically compact, and does not favor one party over another.
