Raymond Eugene Plummer (1913-1987) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Alaska.

Judicial career

District of Alaska

Plummer was nominated by President John F. Kennedy on August 28, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 8, 1961, and received his commission on September 18, 1961. From 1966-1973, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on June 1, 1973. He served the District of Alaska until his death on December 26, 1987.[1] Plummer was succeeded in this position by James Martin Fitzgerald.
