An ordinance to amend Section 13.06(b)(18)(c)5 and Section 13.06(b)(18)(d)3E of Article 13 of the Zoning Ordinance of Reading Township. This Ordinance would: - Change the sound measurement standard for Large Scale Wind Energy Systems from "LA MAX" to "Leq." - Set the not to exceed noise level within the Energy Overlay District at 45 dBa (LEQ) at any dwelling or mobile home existing at the time the application for the Wind Energy Facility is submitted and 35 dBa (LEQ) at the external western edge of the Wind Energy Overlay District, including the edge of the Wind Energy Overlay District located in Township Sections 3 and 4 to the south and east of Round Lake. - Remove language prohibiting the operation of a Wind Energy Facility when an audible tone is present and results in a complaint. - Require the approval of a waiver of noise levels if the waiver is properly secured and written consent has been obtained stating that the owner is aware of the Wind Energy Facility and noise limitations imposed by the Township of Reading Zoning Ordinance and consent is granted to allow noise level to exceed the maximum limits provided.
