Reagan attended Greenbrier Primary, Intermediate, and Middle Schools and graduated from Indian River High School in 2007. Following high school, Reagan attended Old Dominion University where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Secondary Education. Beyond Chesapeake Public Schools, Reagan is an adjunct mathematics professor at Norfolk State University and Tidewater Community College. He has experience teaching Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, and Precalculus One.

Outside of the classroom, Reagan serves in leadership roles with multiple organizations including President of the Chesapeake Education Association and Treasurer of the Chesapeake Democratic Committee.

Reagan brings a love of learning, compassion, and drive to the campaign as his goal is to serve others.
  • Proactive Infrastructure - As families move to Chesapeake, our roads, sidewalks, parks, and school buildings must be increased and improved.
  • Access to Mental Health Supports - From mental health professionals to residential facilities and everything in between, everyone should be able to get support when they need it most.
  • Support First Responders and City Employees - Chesapeake's first responders and city employees deserve support and a voice in their working conditions.
Education at all levels, community engagement, infrastructure, and budget.
This office provides infrastructure and funding for Chesapeake Public Schools, which is the city's largest employer and they serve our youngest generation.
Elected officials should be approachable, understanding, and dedicated to serving the residents of our city.
As a teacher in Chesapeake Public Schools and in higher education, I work to provide detailed information to my students but also learn from my students. I try to meet my students where they are to build them up to where they need to be academically and beyond. The best leader, in my opinion is honest, coachable, and forward-thinking.
Elected city council members should provide a balanced budget, vote on issues that serve residents with a party-blind stance, and engage with residents outside of the scheduled meetings.
I would like to leave a legacy of compassion, understanding, and inclusivity.
9/11 - I was in 7th grade at Greenbrier Middle School and my Principal came our classroom to inform us of what happened. Our class unified together around those who were scared, and we talked through what was happening on the news.
Chesapeake Public Schools Summer School Secretary during high school. This position was temporary as it lasted for the duration of a summer school session.
Anyone who holds this office should be dedicated to serving the city's residents and open to learning from others.
Chesapeake Democratic Party, Chesapeake Education Association, Elizabeth River Retired Educators, Virginia Delegate Cliff Hayes
Not only should our city provide clear and transparent financial documents, they should be accessible to everyone and easily understood. Town hall meetings and virtual presentations can increase transparency and accountability.
