I have advanced degrees in Immunology (MS, U. Penn) and Business (MBA, INSEAD) and a strong analytical and scientific background that I used in my previous work in biotech and internet startups.

I'm a community volunteer and was awarded the PV Volunteer of the Year award in 2021. I have volunteered with many local organizations including the schools, Sustainability Committee, and currently the Architectural and Site Control Commission.

I have lived here for 25 years and I'm running for Town Council because I care deeply about Portola Valley and want to play a more active role in shaping its future with practical solutions.

I founded and moderated the PVForum for 20 years and have a strong understanding of our Town's diverse viewpoints.

I have endorsements from over 175 Town leaders, Council members, past and present, Commissioners and Committee members, and dozens of residents from all areas of Portola Valley who want solutions.

My goal is to work collaboratively with fellow council members, residents, and town staff to make sure our town has a stable financial future, a respectful, informed, and welcoming culture, and a sustainable and safe future for current and future residents who will occupy future more varied housing options.

I’m committed to preserving the special qualities of our Town while working hard to find the solutions we need to create a safe and welcoming environment for all residents, existing and future in a financially stable Town.
  • Ensure Fiscal Viability: Address the structural deficit by meticulously scrutinizing our finances and supporting the progress made by our new finance team; aggressively pursue and execute plans for new revenue streams needed to sustainably fund the increased costs of public safety, wildfire protection, and essential municipal services while rebuilding our reserves.
  • Prioritize Housing Balance: Develop diverse housing options that maintain PV's character and protect our natural environment while meeting state mandates and prioritizing the safety and well-being of current and future residents (to protect the town from losing our local land use control).
  • Complete Town Hall Renewal: Foster a respectful, transparent, data-driven town culture to restore effective governance, new leadership, and town services.
Efficient government, walkable cities, affordable housing, factual and transparent information, sustainability and climate change.
Transparent, intelligence, hard-working, diligent, meticulous, thorough, data-driven, sensible, and practical.
Creating an assembly language program to run a mercury drop polaragraph to study the conversion of Vitamin B12 during a summer job to help pay for my college expenses.
Over 175 residents have endorsed my campaign including former and current Town councilmembers, Town commissioners and committee members.
