Two of the seven seats on the Katy Independent School District board of trustees were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. In the Position 1 race incumbent Joe Adams lost his seat to challenger George Scott. William Lacy withdrew from the race before the general election. In the Position 2 race, incumbent Rebecca Fox ran unopposed and won re-election to her seat.[1][2][3]
