I am a life long 5th generation Missourian. I have been married for 24 years; I have two daughters both attend Crowder College (my alumna). I have been in education for 15 years; I have worked with specifically special needs children. I am running for State Representative for a couple reasons, one this seat has been uncontested for too long, much like many seats in Missouri. I feel the citizens of Missouri are ready for a positive change with positive growth for the state and I can bring that to them. I am the first in my family to graduate High School and go on to Crowder and MSSU to attain my bachelors degree. I am the survivor of child sexual assault. I want to help ensure that all Missourians have access to health care and reproductive rights. I want to put more money and effort into making our public schools the best public schools. Make sure families have correct and up to date information on what is happening in Missouri. I know working families in Missouri are struggling in Missouri today and have been for many years I believe the current administration has lost sight of what the people of Missouri really want. Livable wages, Healthcare, Great Education and decent human rights.
  • Affordable Healthcare I believe every Missourian deserves access to quality healthcare. I will work tirelessly to expand Medicaid, improve mental health services, and ensure that no one is left behind. We must ensure that women have access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare. This includes affordable contraception, prenatal care, and safe abortion services.
  • Education Our Children deserve the best education possible. I will advocate for increased funding for public schools, support teachers. I will champion policies that empower our students.
  • Economic Growth, Environmental Stewardship I will promote policies that foster economic growth while protecting our natural resources. Create jobs, invest in local businesses and infrastructures i.e. roads, bridges and internet access.
I am personally passionate about Womens healthcare and their right to Abortion reproductive rights.
This office is important for me, because in my district things are not being done for the citizens. We still have things that have not been addressed or fixed i.e. roads, internet access, healthcare, education, and equality. I don't feel the current administration is working for me, so I know it is not working for our people.
Elected officials should adhere to a certain standard of professionalism. I believe they should be in office to serve the people who voted for them. I believe they should be honest and transparent with the legislature of our government. I believe some elected officials have lost sight of the fact we are here to serve the people not the party. We are not voted to work for the people so we can get rich, it is a job of service. you have to get out and seethe people and your community you represent and make sure they are being heard. As elected officials our job is to make sure the people are taken care of, livable wages, good jobs, healthcare, childcare, roads, bridges, internet, equality, freedom from religion, freedom of religion. I will work for the people. I will work for Missourians.
Honest, humble, gracious, kind, understanding, and willing to listen to the people and hear their stories, respond to them and help to govern the needs of the people not the wants of a party.
I am only interested in leaving a legacy for my daughters. I want them to know that I fought for their right to be who they want to be, and to have a family if they want to. I am going to work to reinstate Roe v Wade, make sure the LGBTQ+ community, and all minorities have a voice and their human rights and decency.
Most important is being a voice for the people in my district. working to get better healthcare, reproductive rights, better education. The list goes on, I am here to listen and help.
No, I believe the elected official for my seat should know the people, live in the area, and understand the hardships many families endure.
I believe the person that holds this seat should only be there to work for the people. skills required would be Understanding, Compassion, would be a great skill for this position.
How do you catch an Elephant? Dig a big hole, put ashes in the hole, put peas around the hole, when the Elephant goes to take a pea, kick him in the ash hole. lol
I believe there should always be checks and balances. I think transparency is extremely important, the people should see where the money goes, and doesn't go. The government should be held accountable for not allocating the funds where they are supposed to go.
