Rebecca Johnson was a 2018 Republican candidate for District 49 of the Kentucky House of Representatives. She withdrew from the race in March 2018.[1]

Johnson was a 2018 Republican special election candidate for District 49 of the Kentucky House of Representatives. Johnson was married to Dan Johnson, who held the District 49 seat until his death in December 2017. She was defeated by Linda Belcher (D) in the special election on February 20, 2018.[2]

A special election for the position of Kentucky House of Representatives District 49 was held on February 20, 2018. The filing deadline for Democratic, Republican, and independent candidates to run in this election was January 2, 2018. Write-in candidates had to file their declarations of intent to run by February 9, 2018.[3]

The seat became vacant on December 13, 2017, after Dan Johnson (R) committed suicide.[4]

Linda Belcher (D) defeated Rebecca Johnson (R) in the special election.[5]
