Campaign themes

Bydlak's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

  • Cutting spending and debt: With the Coalition to Reduce Spending, I’ve fought for hard-working taxpayers to reduce federal spending at its source, and I’ve spent a career fighting special interests. It’s clear that we cannot tax and spend our way to balance. The only solution is real, meaningful spending cuts now, not down the road, and I have the expertise and commitment to make that goal a reality.
  • Improving education: Parents should have a choice where their children attend school, and in Congress, I will work to get myself and my colleagues out of the way of parents who know the needs of their children better than the bureaucrats.
  • Caring for our veterans: Protecting America requires responsible economic policies working alongside a strong national defense to secure our freedom. Equally important is protecting those who protect us.
  • Fixing healthcare: Obamacare must be stopped. With the Coalition to Reduce Spending, I have successfully advocated for reforms such as ending insurance bailouts, as well as continuing the fight to repeal Obamacare entirely and promote better, free-market solutions. I have the experience necessary to end this big government healthcare takeover once and for all, and doing so will be a priority from day one.
  • Preserving Second Amendment rights: A longtime gun owner, I am 100% committed to protecting the rights of Northwest Floridians and my fellow Americans to keep and bear arms. The right to protect ourselves and our families must never be taken away. I have fought the gun grabbing lobby on campus and in the community, and I will remain a tireless advocate for the 2nd Amendment when I'm in Congress.
