Oklahoma: Oklahoma Supreme Court Referee Greg Albert has met with lawyers and leaders from both sides regarding the new redistricting lines that are being drawn for the Oklahoma State Senate. The Democratic side argues that the new districts were gerrymandered by Republican representatives. The Democratic side also argues that the redistricting violates constitutional requirements regarding compactness, historical precedent, economic and political interests, and contiguous territories. The Senate committee responsible for the redistricting feels that the new divisions will be upheld in court.[1]
