Measure J authorized the school district to borrow $65.5 million.
A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for approval.

Measure J: "Overcrowding Relief and School Safety Measure. To relieve overcrowding, improve student safety and security of school campuses, and provide equitable high school facilities to improve educational opportunities for local students, shall Redlands Unified School District issue $65.5 million in bonds, at interest rates within legal limits, to finance the improvement, construction, and completion of school facilities, with strict accountability including annual audits and an independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee to monitor expenditures, and no money spent on administrators’ salaries?"[1] |
