Reg Bennett's career experience includes working as a teacher in the Corona-Norco Unified School District. He earned a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in educational administration. Bennett has three children who have all attended Menifee Union schools.[1]

Opposition

Two of the five seats on the Menifee Union School District Board of Education were supposed to be up for general election on November 3, 2015.[2][3] Due to lack of opposition, however, this election was canceled.[4] The seats of Trustee Area 1 incumbent Reg Bennett and Trustee Area 2 incumbent Robert O'Donnell would have been on the ballot.[5]

Both incumbents were unopposed in their bids for re-election, so they were each appointed to another term.[4][6]

Results

Due to lack of opposition, this election was canceled. Trustee Area 1 incumbent Reg Bennett and Trustee Area 2 incumbent Robert O'Donnell ran unopposed and were each appointed to another term.[4]

Bennett reported no contributions or expenditures to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters in the election.[7]

The first campaign finance reporting deadline was September 24, 2015, and the second one was October 22, 2015. If candidates raised or spent more than $1,000 from a single source, including their own funds, between August 5, 2015, and November 2, 2015, they had to file a campaign finance report within 24 hours.[8]

Reg Bennett ran against candidate Rita J. Peters for the Trustee Area 1 seat on the Menifee Union School District School Board in the general election that took place on November 5, 2013.[9]

Election results

On November 5, 2013, Reg Bennett defeated one challenging candidate for a seat on the Menifee Union School District Board of Education. Ron Ulbarri, Randall T. Freeman and Jerry Bowman were unopposed and won their seats by default in uncontested races.
