Campaign themes

2016

Sternes issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:

Idaho is a great state because its people are good and decent. It’s also why technology, industry, and food companies like locating their factories, plants, and offices here.

They choose Idaho because we have sane governmental rules and regulations and our family values mean we’re responsible, honest technicians and professionals who help them grow and succeed.

But in order to continue to make Idaho a great place to work and live, we must encourage the best firms to locate their plants and offices here; and make it a place they never want to leave.

We must foster a state where our children have attractive, good paying jobs to keep them here; and we must be good stewards of our land, air, and water – which make it such a fantastic place to live, work, and play.

To be EVEN BETTER, we must have the jobs and resources that provide the earnings and incomes to raise our families well; and I will work to make this promise a reality. [6]
