I am a candidate for the SRP Council and I am running because I want to ensure that SRP's board represents all of their customers, even though only landowners can vote in this election. I also want to make it easy for everyone to install solar panels to generate electricity and store it with their own batteries without paying additional fees. As data centers move into the valley our clean energy team will ensure they pay their fair share, rather than all customers subsidizing the infrastructure needed to meet the increasing demand for power.
  • Affordability: We (the Clean Energy Team) will represent all SRP customers, not just the landowners that can vote in the election. We will vote against rate increases.
  • Solar: We will vote against fees for customers that want to install solar panels and batteries on their homes. We will build solar fields rather than additional fossil fuel plants to meet growing demand for power.
  • Data centers need to pay their fair share and not pass new infrastructure costs to families and small businesses.
All issues are social justice issues. Those with less resources suffer first when challenges arise.
