Reginald Meeks (Democratic Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 42. He assumed office in 2001. He left office on December 17, 2021.

Meeks (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 42. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Meeks announced his retirement on December 17, 2021.[1]

Biography

Meeks' professional experience includes working as Associate Director of the Office of Development at the University of Louisville, Associate Director of the Office of Admissions, Career Planner in the Jefferson County Public School System, and Adjunct Professor at McKendree College. Meeks is a member of the National Association of State Legislators.[2]

Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Reginald K. Meeks ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while James F. Howland ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Meeks defeated Howland in the general election.[7][8][9]

Meeks won re-election to the 42nd District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He received 10,274 votes.[12]

Meeks ran unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary election.[13]

On November 4, 2008, Meeks was re-elected to the 42nd District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition.[14] He raised $4,254 for his campaign.[15]
