Reginald Woodhouse is an at-large member of the Hampton School Board in Virginia. He won the seat in the general election that was held on May 3, 2016.[1]
Biography
Woodhouse is the pastor at First Baptist Church Jefferson Park. He is also the president of Providence Bible College and Theological Seminary. He previously taught in Newport News Public Schools. Woodhouse obtained a bachelor's degree in urban ministry management from Geneva College. He went on to earn a master's degree in theology from Roanoke Theological Seminary and another master's degree in divinity from Virginia Union University. He also has a doctorate degree in divinity from Providence Theological Seminary.[2]

Four of the at-large seven seats on the Hampton school board were up for general election on May 3, 2016. Before the 2016 election, the board was made up of six seats split between two districts and one at-large seat. The 2016 election was the first election in which all residents of the district vote for every seat up for election. Incumbents Martha Mugler and Phyllis Henry, along with Ann Stephens Cherry and Reginald Woodhouse, won election to the four seats by defeating challengers Pamela Croom and Erica Wagner. Incumbents William Pearson and Monica Smith did not run for re-election.[1]
