I have called Aurora home for 40 years, with the last 15 spent in Ward One. My kids grew up here and attended our local schools. For the past two decades, I have been deeply involved in our community — serving as Chair of Aurora’s Key Community Response Team, Co-Chair of the Police Reform Community Advisory Council, working with the Aurora Strong Resilience Center, and contributing to many other initiatives. I am passionate about bringing people together and fostering collaboration to help everyone reach their full potential. At my core, I am a collaborator, a unifier, and a problem solver.
  • Public Safety - While crime rates have dropped, residents still feel unsafe. I will address this concern based on years of experience providing public safety oversight as a private citizen. He will prioritize a comprehensive and community-focused approach when addressing public safety concerns that leads to results.
  • Economic Revitalization - I will ensure economic development benefits everyone, and not just a select few. He will engage with all stakeholders in reimagining the economic revitalization of Original Aurora, along with working hard to retain long term residents and the rich cultural diversity that currently exists.
  • Community Building - Original Aurora has been through tough times and it feels like its best days are behind it. I firmly believe Original Aurora's best days are before it, and its residents are its greatest asset. Reid will work hard to initiate public and private partnerships that lead to innovative ideas for bringing residents together to celebrate each other and regaining our sense of community pride.
Local politics is where the rubber meets the road, it's where practical solutions that impact daily lives are enacted.
Working together collaborative to find win, win solutions
To listen carefully to your constituents and to lead to effective solutions
Any initiative in the City needs to get 6 votes of approval from the City Council
