Reid Novotny
Reid Novotny (Republican Party) was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 9A. He assumed office on January 13, 2021. He left office on January 11, 2023.
Novotny (Republican Party) ran for election to the Maryland State Senate to represent District 9. He lost in the general election on November 8, 2022.
On January 8, 2021, the Republican central committees of Howard and Carroll counties nominated Novotny to the Maryland House of Delegates to fill the seat left vacant by Warren Miller's (R) resignation.[1] Gov. Larry Hogan (R) approved the nomination and formally appointed Novotny to the seat on January 13, 2021.[2]
Biography
Reid Novotny served in the U.S. Air Force and the Maryland Air National Guard and reached the rank of colonel. Novotny earned a B.S. in computer science, an M.S. in computer security from George Washington University, and an M.A. in strategic communications from George Mason University.[3] His career experience includes working as an advisor to U.S. Air Force officials, a cybersecurity entrepreneur, and an account manager with World Wide Technology.[2][3]
