Campaign website

Rasner's campaign website stated the following:

TERM LIMITS

Reid has signed the pledge with US TERM LIMITS and will vote in favor of term limits on congress.

“Term limits are CRITICAL to fix Washington, D.C.! Our Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, not lifelong politicians. It's time for CHANGE! Join me to break the chains of complacency and restore ACCOUNTABILITY to our government!”

- Reid

LIMITED GOVERNMENT

Reid believes that the best government is a small government. He champions the enduring question of our time, echoing a timeless struggle that has defined history itself; the choice between allowing individuals to govern themselves or being subjected to the rule of a privileged few. With unwavering dedication, he stands for the empowerment of every citizen and the preservation of our democratic ideals, ensuring that the voice of the many prevails over the interests of the few.

"I've pledged to uphold the timeless choice of self-governance over rule by a select few."

- Reid

BALANCED BUDGET

Reid is a staunch advocate for fiscal responsibility. Over the past four decades, Congress has held a blank check and squandered American taxpayer funds on foreign ventures and interests. It's high time we prioritize America's interests and start caring for our nation and its citizens first.

"Balancing the budget isn't just a financial goal; it's a moral imperative. It's about ensuring that we leave a legacy of financial responsibility and a brighter future for generations to come."

- Reid

PRO-LIFE

Reid believes that life begins at conception.

"Protecting life is paramount! I firmly stand by the belief that life begins at conception. As a compassionate advocate for the sanctity of life, I support the idea that every single human being, right from the moment of conception, deserves the right to life, love, and protection. Embracing this perspective is essential for fostering a society that cherishes and safeguards the most vulnerable among us."

- Reid

PRO-SECOND AMENDMENT

As a passionate outdoors enthusiast and a fourth-generation Wyoming resident, Reid is committed to safeguarding our Second Amendment rights. Reid firmly believes that every American citizen should have the knowledge and skills to handle firearms safely, and he advocates for the inclusion of firearm safety education in the curriculum of schools throughout the United States.

"Our Bill of Rights bestows upon us God-given freedoms that 'Shall not be infringed.' It is the duty of our government to safeguard these liberties. It is high time we elect officials at all levels of government who are dedicated to protecting our rights."

- Reid

ENERGY

Reid is Wyoming's America First candidate who passionately champions Energy Independence. Reid is an unwavering advocate for unleashing Wyoming's Energy Industry to fuel our nation and set us on the path to prosperity.

"It is time to Energize America's Future! As your next United States Senator, my priority is clear: revitalize our energy sector, cut stifling regulations, and pave the way to true energy independence. It's time for American First Policies to be put in place that will last for generations to come. Let's empower innovation, create jobs, strengthen our nation's security, and Drill Baby Drill."

- Reid

"I'm not simply running against Barrasso, as some may perceive, particularly within the corridors of Washington, D.C. I'm running as the voice of Wyoming, to champion the values that define our great state. It's high time we had representation in our nation's capitol that truly embodies the spirit of Wyoming."

- Reid [4]

2017

Rasner's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Security

For a Better Future
It takes community involvement to help protect our neighborhoods. Indeed, the safety of the neighborhoods we call home pivots on a mutually constructive relationship with our police. In this time of changing legal and cultural values, we must support our Police Department and make sure they have the tools and forces necessary to protect our community. By strengthening this partnership, we will decimate gang activity, reduce the sale of illegal narcotics, and secure our homes and families. Together, community members and the police who defend them will build a greater Las Vegas.

Taxation
Key Policy
No New Taxes. I promise to never vote in favor of a new tax. Government waste must stop, today, and make way for smart spending to efficiently provide for the public good for every day that follows. As taxpayers, we entrust the city with the responsibility to spend our money wisely; thus, it must focus more money on fundamental infrastructure to benefit everyone and less of our money on specialized ventures which bear fruit for only a select few.

Solar Energy
The Stakes are High
It is time for the City Council to take a proactive stance on Solar Energy. We live in one of the sunniest cities in America. And yet, public harvest of this most abundant of our resources– sunlight– has been summarily discouraged in recent years. For the people and environment of Las Vegas, it is time to harness this energy. I want to create more friendly solar policy, and engage in private-public partnerships. We need more rooftop solar, more community solar projects, and less private solar regulation.

Youth Homelessness
Making A Difference
No matter how beautiful our world-famous skyline might be, it will remain a tableaux of ugliness until we provide for the many homeless youth who suffer in its shadow. Reid Rasner is proud to support efforts to reduce youth homelessness in Las Vegas through partnerships between nonprofit organizations and the City of Las Vegas. Our youth can no longer be made the careless victims of our neglect, forced to live on the streets and forego their education only steps from one of the world's great playgrounds for the wealthy. We must intervene, and we must intervene now.

Regulation
Key Policy
For too long, we have over-regulated our small businesses, and in so doing we have over-regulated the people of Las Vegas as well. To do business in our great city, the average citizen-entrepreneur must compete not just with big corporate rivals, but with local regulations which sap their resources and survivability. We need less government interference and more entrepreneurial spirit if Las Vegas is to remain a community of people rather than a community of companies.[4]

—Reid Rasner's campaign website, (2017)[6]

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the following would be Rasner's priorities for the city council if elected: "Homeless youth, more rooftop solar in Las Vegas, strengthen ties between community and police."[7]
