Rene Menard
Rene Menard (b. August 17, 1957) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 45 from 1989 to 2013.
Menard was a delegate at the Rhode Island Constitutional Convention in 1986. In 1999, Menard served as Deputy Majority Whip, and he served as House Majority Whip in 2002.
Biography
Menard earned his A.A. in Fire Science from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1981. His professional experience included working as a Firefighter for the City of Woonsocket but is now retired.[1]

2010
Menard won re-election to the 45th District seat in 2010. He defeated Julie Zito in the September 14 Democratic primary and defeated Republican Larry Shetler and independent Colleen Scanlan in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4][5]

In 2008, Menard was re-elected to the Rhode Island House District 45. Menard (D) finished with 5,146 votes.[6] Menard raised $42,085 for his campaign fund.[7]
