Renée was born and raised in Columbus Ohio. She attended a State College. She moved to West Virginia in 2007 with her family to start a business. She is a Christian Conservative mother of two grown children, and a grandmother of two. She is a paralegal in an Elder Law office.
  • Education: West Virginia is now a leader in school choice. We must continue to improve our schools, putting the emphasis on the basics skills in math, reading and writing. We must put the money where it belongs: in teacher salaries, we have lost too many great teachers to higher paying counties in Virginia and Maryland. We need to keep our teachers with better pay and benefits.
  • The Economy: Free enterprise promotes job creation. We need to right-size government, continue to make regulations more sensible. We must make taxes less burdensome and more fair to create an economic climate that allows businesses – especially small businesses - to thrive and grow. The role of government includes helping to improve and build infrastructure. We need to solve our broadband issues. I want new businesses to come to WV, we need a strong foundation and an infrastructure to support them.
  • Heath Care: The cost of healthcare in West Virginia is too high. Anti-competitive policies cause high costs and high inflation rates in healthcare in our state. Certificate of need regulations need to be addressed. We need price transparency so that the free market can work in the health care sector to provide better services at better prices.
Tax Reform: Hardworking families of West Virginia know best how to spend their own money and more of it should remain in their own pockets. When people take home more of their paychecks, consumer spending increases. Lower taxes support a healthy economy producing job creation.
I look up and admire those who have a servant's heart. People who stand up for those who don't have a voice or can't stand up for themselves. I respect those who don't have an agenda for personal gain when helping another individual.
When my husband passed away, I was left to raise our family as a single mother, and to manage our business by myself. I am a fighter and know how to get things done. I will fight for our freedoms, to ensure that we protect property rights, the right to bear arms, the freedom to speak our minds and I will stand up for our Religious Liberties.  I am running for my family and the families of the 16th district. We the people of the 16th district deserve someone who will represent our values and follow through!

I stood up for the people in my community and my state to make things better and to protect our family values.
I remember when the Challenger exploded white launching into space. I was in my 20s.
I begged for my first job at age 15. I was told "no" at least a dozen times, but I persisted and was hired. My first job was the Snack Girl for a local Country Club at a golf course. I worked there for 8 years, through high school and college.
The governor's role in the legislature should be minimized in order for the House and Senate to function as an independent branch of government. The state legislature's job is to write sensible laws for the governor to sign.
Job Creation: To attract new business to our communities, it is important to provide some resources around workforce development. Getting a new business started in one thing, sustaining it is quite another. By pinpointing training and development for the jobs that business need to hire for would greatly help those businesses continue to grow and support our communities.
The State Legislature is supposed to be comprised of citizens. Therefore, I do not believe that someone who wants to step up and serve their community needs to have experience in the administrative aspect of the job, that can be learned.
I do believe in compromise, however not on values such as Pro-life.
