I have been a Deputy District Attorney for nearly 28 years. I have dedicated my career to helping others, advocating for victims of crimes, and working on behalf of public safety.

I am a child molestation prosecutor and supervising Deputy-In-Charge over a unit that prosecutes crimes involving sexual assault, elder abuse, hate crimes and domestic violence.

I am actively involved in her community, participating in the Sexual Assault Response Team in the South Bay, organizing fundraisers for victims of domestic violence and raising money for children with disabilities.

I received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and her law degree from Columbia Law School. I am the only one in my seat who is rated "well qualified" by the Los Angeles County Bar Association. I have broad bi-partisan support and am endorsed by over 100 judges and elected officials.
  • I will continue to protect the rights of our vulnerable victims and make public safety a priority, while at the same time safeguarding the constitutional rights of all.
  • I will ensure that everyone who stepped into the courtroom is treated respectfully, without bias or preconceptions, and that everyone has the opportunity to be heard..
  • I will be fair and impartial, and apply the law equally to all.
I believe that alternatives to incarceration such as mental health treatment, drug addition programs, domestic violence counseling, etc. play an important role in our criminal justice system. As a supervising Deputy District Attorney, I have authorized many plea bargains to these programs when appropriate.

However, in many cases, these programs are not appropriate where public safety or the safety of victims is at issue. We need compassion but we also need accountability in our justice system.

Yes, I am the only candidate in my seat to have a rating of "Well Qualified."

To be “Well Qualified,” the candidate must possess professional ability, experience, competence, integrity and temperament indicative of superior fitness to perform the judicial function with a high degree of skill and effectiveness.
Yes, the Los Angeles County Bar Association Judicial Evaluation process is very extensive. Candidates are provided the opportunity to describe their educational background, professional experience, significant cases and community involvement. The committee contacts members of the legal community including judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys who have worked with the candidates and know their reputation. Candidates that only receive a rating of Qualified or Not Qualified are allowed to appeal their rating to the full committee for reconsideration. The rating of the Bar Association is the product of a full investigation of the candidates experience, competence, integrity and temperament.
