Repeal Referendum, Income Tax (November 2009)
There was a Repeal Referendum, Income Tax in regards to a levy in the Loudonville-Perrysville School District on the November 3 ballot in Ashland County.
This referendum sought to repeal a .75 percent income tax that was placed on the school district in a previous vote. The superintendent of the school district who was trying to get the tax repealed wanted the entire 1.25 tax, but the board of elections did not agree. They instead stated that the tax was separated into a .75 and .50 tax.[1]
